Birds of Prey Show

Summer-Fall

  • Description: A close encounter with the birds of prey of Chouette à voir! Discover the history of each of them and learn more about the different species.
  • Schedule: 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
  • Accessibility: Outdoor. Bring a towel to sit on the ground. 12 family benches available. Dogs must stay on leash and away from the birds during the presentation.
  • Note: In the event of a thunderstorm or high winds, the activity may be delayed, adjusted or canceled without notice. Your safety and the safety of our birds is a priority to us.
Birds of Prey Presentation
Winter-Spring
  • Description: From november to may, you can follow the training of our birds of prey in our interpretation center. Meet our ambassador birds in a close encounter and learn their origins and behaviors through this animation.
  • Schedule: 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
  • Accessibility: Depending on the weather, the presentation can be set outside or inside the birds of prey interpretation center. Dogs have to stay far from the birds during the presentation.

  • Description: Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Quebec’s birds of prey! Through taxidermy specimens, immersive videos, and interactive stations, discover their incredible adaptations, hunting techniques, and essential role in the balance of ecosystems.

Rehabilitation
Complex
  • Description: Witness the rehabilitation work done at Chouette à voir! Take a guided tour to get to know the feathered residents waiting to be released. The complex of 9 aviaries allows the birds of prey that have received their care to practice their flight before returning to the wild.
  • Schedule: Guided tours at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
  • Accessibility: Enclosed building, not accessible for strollers, walkers or wheelchairs. Dogs are not allowed in the complex.

Birds of Prey
Observation
  • Description: Walk the Owl and Grandeur Trail to discover 11 species of birds of prey. The birds are permanent residents and can be seen in large aviaries. Due to a permanent handicap, they are not autonomous in the wild and are kept under the care of Chouette à voir! team.
  • Schedule: Self-guided tour, all day.
  • Accessibility: Managed hiking trails in the forest or in open areas. Trails with various surfaces (grass, rock, soil). Only one trail with greater steep drop, the others are at the same stance.

Hiking Trails
  • Description: Stroll along the 2.5 km landscaped walking trails. Discover the beauty of nature at Chouette à voir! New interpretation panels have been installed for you to learn more about the fauna and flora of the site.
  • Schedule: self-guided tour, all day.
  • Accessibility: Trails in the forest or in open areas. Trails with various surfaces (grass, rock, soil). Only one trail with greater steep drop, the others are at the same level.
Animation
Birds of Prey Adaptations
  • Description: Handle real wings, talons and feathers to explore the incredible adaptations of birds of prey up close. A unique sensory experience to better understand how these masters of the sky live, hunt and move around in their habitat.

Immersive Artwork
Human Perchs
  • Description: This new creation is an installation by the Daily tous les jours art studio. The perches compose a sound narrative of the forest’s inhabitants, inviting humans to tune in to their environment. Come and perch to experience the melody of the forest!
  • Schedule: Self-guided tour, during opening hours.
  • Accessibility: Forest trail and footbridge with universal accessibility, near the interpretation center.

  • Description : Immortalize a wonderful moment! Live the experience of having a bird of prey on your gloved fist*. The necessary equipment and instructions are given on site by our staff.*Please note that for the well-being of the birds of prey, it is forbidden to touch them.
  • Schedule: 12:00 to 12:30 pm and 3:00 to 3:30 pm during summer season
  • Fees: $10 to $20 depending on the species available. This amount will contribute to the care of birds of prey in need.
  • Accessibility: From 5 years old for a small bird, 10 years old for a medium-sized bird and 16 years old for a large bird.
